Implementasi Layanan Bimbingan dalam Mendukung Potensi Siswa Sekolah Dasar Se-Kecamatan Ternate Barat

This study aims to describe the implementation of guidance services in supporting the potential of elementary school students in the Ternate Barat sub-district, Ternate City, North Maluku Province. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey method. The study's results showed that 55.6% of principals and teachers implemented guidance services in the elementary schools where they worked; however, the implementation was categorized as unsuccessful, as it failed to support the development of student potential. Another finding was that as many as 44.4% of principals and teachers stated that there was no standard guidance service guide in elementary schools in the Ternate Barat sub-district. Other obstacles were the lack of guidance teachers in elementary schools or visiting counselors at the UPTD, as well as the lack of socialization and training on guidance and counseling services in elementary schools from the Education Office or universities.
