POLA PEMBINAAN NARAPIDANA DI MASA PANDEMI DENGAN SISTIM PEMASYARAKATAN MENURUT UNDANG-UNDANG NO 12 TAHUN 1995 DI RUMAH TAHANAN KELAS I A SURAKARTA
Abstrak
Penitentiary is a place that is used in Indonesia which emphasizes the
coaching aspect. In this correctional institution, prisoners are fostered and
educated and equipped with knowledge and skills as provisions for them when
they finish serving their criminal period. With this provision, the prisoners will be
able to return to society and become good and responsible members.In this study,
the problem studied was how to develop prisoners in the Class I A Detention
Center in Surakarta and how the problems faced by correctional officers in
fostering prisoners at the Class I A Detention Center Surakarta.
The research method used is a sociological juridical approach, namely the
problem approach through legal research by looking at the legal reality in practice,
while the data collection tool used in this study is interviews, collecting primary
and secondary data, then analyzed qualitatively by grouping the data according to
the aspects studied.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the
implementation of the prisoner development system at the Class IA Surakarta
Detention Center is going well, and all interests related to prisoners must be
considered, because it is something that makes prisoners aware of their actions
and is a support in the implementation training of prisoners. Therefore, the
development of prisoners is a very heavy task carried out by officers who have an
important role in the coaching, namely as coaches and educators to arrange so that
the coaching can run quickly and precisely. With the officers who have an
important role in fostering prisoners, the obstacles that will interfere with the
implementation of the prisoner coaching system can be overcome or overcome
quickly, so that later the coaching of prisoners in the Correctional Institution can
run well.
