Abstract

The Regional Inspectorate is the Government's Internal Supervisory Apparatus, based on Law Number 23 Year 2014 Concerning Regional Government, which states that the Regional Inspectorate has the task of assisting Regional Heads in developing and supervising the implementation of government affairs which fall under regional authority and assisting tasks by Regional Apparatus. In carrying out his duties he is directly responsible to the Governor, Regent/Mayor. The supervisory function of Regional Government has tiered authority and is integrated into guidance and supervision mechanisms, while the target of guidance and supervision is to carry out preventive or mitigation measures to prevent deviations from predetermined plans and targets. Empirical juridical legal research, the author chooses a form of empirical legal research in the form of an inventory of statutory regulations and the enactment or implementation of legal provisions in the implementation of internal supervision of Regional Government by the Regional Inspectorate. The majority of factors that interfere with organizational performance include management efforts in translating and aligning organizational goals, organizational culture, quality of human resources, and effective leadership. Problems related to the availability of resources such as budget, competence, communication processes and information disclosure are still obstacles for the Inspectorate in carrying out internal supervision.
