Abstract

Strict and consistent law enforcement against traffic violations can have a deterrent effect against future violations. A clear threat of punishment can reduce individual motivation to violate traffic rules. Apart from legal sanctions, the Transportation Service can also play a role in educating the public about the importance of obeying traffic rules.

This cooperation is necessary to strengthen enforcement, exchange information and apply appropriate sanctions.
