Abstract

This research was conducted in Ngampon Village, Karangbanyu District, Widodaren District, Ngawi Regency from February to April 2025. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of dosing chicken manure and KCL fertilizer on the growth and yield of long bean (Vigna sinensis L.). This research was conducted by observing several growth parameters such as plant height, number of leaves, wet biomass weight, dry biomass weight, number of pods, pod weight, and pod length. This research used a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) with two treatment factors. The first factor is dose of manure chicken , which consists of four levels: (no chicken manure), (10 tons/ha), (20 tons/ha), and (30 tons/ha). The second factor is dose of KCL fertilizer, which also consists of four levels: (no KCL fertilizer), (150 kg/ha), (300 kg/ha), and (450 kg/ha). The results of the research showed that the application of chicken manure did not have a significant effect on any of the observed growth and yield parameters of the plants. Similarly, the application of KCL fertilizer also did not cause any significant differences in the parameters measured. However, there was a significant interaction between the doses of chicken manure and KCL fertilizer on the weight of long bean pods, with the pod weight reaching 243.83 grams. Based on this interaction, the potential yield of long beans could reach up to 20.735 tons per hectare.
