FRAMING MEDIA ONLINE LOKAL DALAM MEMBENTUK OPINI MASYARAKAT SURAKARTA TERKAIT ORMAS YANG MENYETUJUI PENAMBANGAN (WIUPK)
Abstract
This research aims to analyze how local online media framing shapes public opinion in Surakarta regarding Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) as an organization supporting mining activities in the special mining business permit areas (WIUPK). The study employs content analysis to identify framing elements in news related to mining permits granted to NU. The findings indicate that media frames the news by emphasizing professionalism, transparency, and inclusivity of government policies, significantly influencing positive public perceptions of NU. Media framing that highlights NU's competence and environmental responsibility further strengthens the organization's positive image in the eyes of the public. Through this framing, the media successfully crafts a narrative that guides public opinion to view NU as an entity that is not only competent in managing natural resources but also committed to environmental and community welfare
