Abstract

This research aimed to describe factors affecting the performance
of Surakarta Training Office. This research used descriptive
qualitative method. Interview as well as observation collecting data
techniques were employed to derive primary data. Document
study was employed for obtaining secondary data in the year of
2014 up to 2016. Interactive data analysis as suggested by Miles
and Huberman was used for anaylising the data.
Productivity is one of the factors affecting the performance was
measured by mean of the ratio of training implementation, mean of
ratio of number of training participant, ratio of graduated of training
and the ratio of placement. Based on the indicator of responsibility,
data showed that Surakarta Training Office in term of observing
the community aspiration was high. It showed, however, that the
procurement of box for accomodating community’s suggestion and
other means found were not sufficient. In this research also
indicated that the human resources interm of the amount and the
educational level was already ideal for conducting the training.
Research result also showed that the existing organizational
structure has arranged the principal task and the function of each
division. It was also found that the existing means and
infrastructure, supporting tools for training were sufficient for
supporting the training process, eventhough they were far left
behind comparing to the modern market job.
