This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group guidance in fostering prosocial behavior among Grade IX G students in the first semester at SMP Negeri 1 Tasikmadu. The research employed a guidance and counseling action research (PTBK) method consisting of two cycles, each including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaires, and field notes. The findings indicate that group guidance was effective in improving students’ prosocial behavior, as evidenced by the increase in questionnaire scores and observations in aspects such as empathy, cooperation, care, and active participation. The development of prosocial behavior was also reflected in students’ daily interactions in class. Therefore, group guidance services can serve as an alternative counseling strategy to enhance students’ social skills and positive character.
