INCREASED VOCABULARY MASTERY WITH MEDIA WORDWALL

This study aims to improve the English vocabulary mastery of eighth-grade junior high school students through the use of the interactive learning media WordWall. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. The subjects were 30 students. Data were collected through vocabulary mastery tests, learning activity observations, and motivation questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed an increase in the average score from 62.3 (pre-cycle) to 74.8 (cycle I) and 84.2 (cycle II), with mastery learning improving from 43.33% to 96.67%. Improvements were also found in vocabulary retention, active participation, and students’ learning motivation. These findings prove that WordWall is effective as an engaging and interactive medium for vocabulary learning.
