INCREASING STUDENTS' UNDERSTANDING OF THE IMPORTANCE OF MANNERS IN THE COMMUNITY WITH CLASSICAL GUIDANCE USING BRAINSTORMING METHODS AND YOUTUBE VIDEO MEDIA AT SMP MUHAMMADIYAH NGADIROJO

This study aims to improve students’ understanding of the importance of politeness in the community through classical guidance using brainstorming and YouTube video media. The research applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis & McTaggart model in two cycles involving 28 eighth-grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah Ngadirojo in the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Data were collected through comprehension tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed an increase in the average score from 65.4 (pre-cycle) to 76.2 (cycle I) and 85.7 (cycle II). Students became more active in discussions and could accurately identify polite behaviors. Video media provided concrete examples, while brainstorming facilitated reflection on moral values.
