This study aimed to improve students’ English listening skills through audio-visual media. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model in two cycles with 32 eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Kedungwaru in the first semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Data were collected through listening tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed an increase in the average score from 62.3 (pre-cycle) to 74.1 (cycle I) and 83.5 (cycle II). Improvements were found in understanding general information, specific details, and word meaning inference. Audio-visual media proved effective in facilitating comprehension, enhancing motivation, and promoting active student engagement.
