Abstract. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of assertive training in increasing the self-confidence of class IV A students at SDN 02 Karangpandan. The method used is classroom action research (PTK) with a quantitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were 32 class IV A students who experienced low to moderate levels of self-confidence. Assertive training is carried out in two cycles using lecture, discussion, case study, role play and modeling methods. The results showed that in the initial condition, there were 9 students with low self-confidence, 14 students with moderate self confidence, and 9 students with high self-confidence. After the first cycle, the number of students with low self-confidence decreased to 3 students, while those with high self-confidence increased to 12 students. In the second cycle, all students reached a moderate to high level of self-confidence, with 22 students in the high self-confidence category. Thus, assertiveness training has proven to be effective in increasing students' self-confidence.
