Abstract. This research aims to improve students' vocabulary mastery through the use of image media in English learning. This study used the classroom action research (PTK) method with two cycles carried out on fifth grade students at SD N 2 Ngaru-aru, Banyudono, Boyolali. The results showed that the use of images significantly increased the average student score from 59.02 in pre-observation to 72.16 in the first cycle and 87.52 in the second cycle. Thus, the use of image media can be an effective strategy in learning English vocabulary at the elementary school level.
