Abstract. This study aims to examine the effect of using video-based learning media and card media through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on improving grammar and reading comprehension skills of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Probolinggo. The research method used was an experimental design with pre-test and post-test. The subjects of this study were 30 eighth grade students who were assigned to an experimental group. The instruments used were written tests to measure grammar and reading comprehension skills. The results showed a significant improvement in both skills after the application of video and card-based learning media through the PBL model. The average score for grammar skills increased from 60 to 80, and for reading comprehension, it increased from 62 to 84. This study concludes that the use of video and card media through the PBL model can improve students' grammar and reading comprehension skills.
