Abstract. This research aims to improve the reading skills of class IX students at SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Klego on narrative text material about Indonesian Legends through the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. The research method uses a best practice approach with the STAR model (Situation, Challenges, Action, Reflection on Results and Impact). The research results show that implementing the PjBL model can improve students' reading skills, increase learning motivation, and develop students' critical thinking skills. These findings emphasize the importance of innovation in learning methods to improve student learning outcomes.
