Perdamaian Konflik Saudara Di Puncak Papua Tahun 2021
Abstract
This research aims. To describe the dynamics of the armed conflict that occurred in Puncak Regency, Papua in 2021 and the process of social and cultural reconciliation. Which took place after the conflict until 2023. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by describing the roots of the conflict, the escalation of violence, the role of actors, and the effectiveness of community-based peace mechanisms. The results of this research show that the roots of the conflict stem from local political issues, economic marginalisation of indigenous Papuans, and identity stigma. Peace efforts through cultural approaches, such as the ‘Bakar Honai’ ritual and traditional festivals, as well as multicultural education have proven effective in creating social stability. This research focuses on strengthening the role of local actors and institutions in peace education for the sustainability of reconciliation.
