PERAN PENYIDIK KEPOLISIAN DALAM MENGUNGKAP TINDAK PIDANA NARKOTIKA DI WILAYAH HUKUM POLRES PEKALONGAN

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the role of police investigators in uncovering narcotics crimes in the jurisdiction of the Pekalongan Police. Reviewing and analyzing the obstacles of police investigators in uncovering narcotics crimes in the jurisdiction of the Pekalongan Police.
The role of police investigators in the scope of investigations into drug crimes in the Pekalongan Police Jurisdiction is carried out carefully and planned. Such a pattern or method is carried out, because the investigation of drug crimes has specificities / peculiarities compared to other criminal acts. Drug crimes are extra ordinary crimes, which have veiled characteristics, wide networks, and difficulty in disclosure.
The method of approach in this writing is sociological juridical. The specifics of this study used descriptive analytics. The data source uses primary and skunder data. Data collection techniques use interviews and document studies. To analyze the data, researchers use qualitative descriptive analysis methods.
The role of police investigators in uncovering narcotics crimes in the jurisdiction of the Pekalongan Police is carried out through the following stages: (1) Receiving a Report (2) Taking The First Action, namely after receiving a report from someone, the investigator conducts a series of investigations and prosecutions of a suspected person (3) Arrest (4) Search (5) Seizure (6) Examination of Suspects and Witnesses (7) Detention (8) Completion of the Investigation. The obstacles faced by investigators in conducting the investigation process for narcotics crimes are: It is rare for the public to be willing to inform about the existence of narcotics crimes.
