PERANAN SATUAN INTELIJEN KEAMANAN KEPOLISIAN DALAM MENGUNGKAP TINDAK PIDANA

(Studi Kasus Tindak Pidana Pembunuhan di Kota Baubau)

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the role of the Police Security
Intelligence Unit in uncovering the crime of murder in Baubau City and to find
out and analyze the obstacles to the Police Security Intelligence Unit in
uncovering the crime of murder in Baubau City. This research was conducted in
Buabau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province, to be precise at the Baubau Police
Resort.
Data and information collection was carried out by the author at the
Baubau Resort Police. Types and sources of data obtained are through interviews
as primary data and are supported by secondary data from books, laws and
regulations and others. The data obtained will be processed and analyzed based on
the formulation of the problem so that a clear picture can be obtained and then
analyzed by qualitative data analysis which is presented descriptively, namely
explaining, describing and describing clearly and concretely of the object
discussed in order to obtain an answer that is in accordance with the problem
closely. relation to this research.
Based on the data analysis, the following results were obtained: (1) The
role of Intelligence of the Baubau Resort Police in disclosing the crime of murder,
namely carrying out activities and operations of judicial intelligence or
investigations to collect data or information that can be used as evidence of
whether or not a crime of murder has occurred which is subsequently evidence is
submitted to the leadership or interested parties for further decision making. (2)
The obstacles faced by the Baubau Resort Police Intelligence in disclosing the
crime of murder are the lack of Human Resources possessed by the Intelligence
Function of the Baubau Resort Police and the limited budget funds provided while
many cases have to be handled.
