Abstract

The position of the State of Indonesia as an archipelagic country traversed by the equator. Indonesia's biodiversity is found within tropical waters and forests. Moreover, forests are one of the determinants of one life support system and another cannot be separated. The Indonesian government in this case the Ministry of Environment and Forestry has divided into 3 types of forest areas, namely conservation forests, protection forests and production forests (KLHK, 2016). One of the conservation areas in Indonesia that has the potential of biological natural resources and ecosystems that can be utilized to improve community welfare is Mount Merbabu National Park (TNGMB). The purpose of the study was to determine the management of the conservation area of Mount Merbabu National Park at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Directorate General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation of Mount Merbabu National Park Office. Reviewing and analyzing the causal factors that have not been optimal in the management of the Mount Merbabu National Park conservation area.

            Method The approach in this writing is sociological juridical. Specification The study uses descriptive analytical. The data source uses primary and secondary. Data collection techniques use interview and observation studies. To analyze the data, researchers use qualitative descriptive analysis methods.

            Forms of Management of Mount Merbabu National Park conservation areas by carrying out activities: Increasing SAVE-Based Natural Tourism Destinations The forms of activities carried out include Increasing the Capacity of Area Managers, Facilitating Business License Assistance, Maintenance of Tourism Routes and Management of Community Productive Economic Businesses and Counseling on Environmental Administration Law Enforcement.
