Abstract

The Regional international relation recently has been the other trend on
global politic. ASEAN as a regional organization couldn’t apart from challenge
of global politic-economy. One effort to face globalization by the increasing
participation of public through citizen diplomacy. Coomunication technology
could wider opportunities of citizen to make relation with another. Relationship of
culture among citizen of many countries could support diplomacy of govenment. It
also strengthen national identity. Question research: how did implementation of
citizen diplomacy could strengthen national identity in ASEAN Community?
Purpose of this research to explain implementation of citizen diplomacy could
strengthen national identity in ASEAN Community. As a qualitative research, data
was collected from literature. Data analysis with data reduction, data display and
verification. Object research about implementation of citizen diplomacyof culture
could strengthen national identity in ASEAN Community. Result of this research
that implementation of citizen diplomacy of culture could support government
diplomacy and strengthen national identity in ASEAN Community.
