Reconstruction of Dharmagita Learning to Strengthen the Religious Character of Sisya at Pasraman Sad Dharma Dwijendra Mataram
Abstract
This study aims to formulate a reconstruction of Dharmagita learning to strengthen the religious character of sisya at Pasraman Sad Dwijendra Mataram. The study addresses a gap in previous Dharmagita studies, which have predominantly examined character formation, learning competencies, teacher roles, or digital media separately, without formulating an integrated learning reconstruction that connects chanting skills, textual meaning, religious values, and observable character development within the Pasraman context. The study uses a qualitative literature-based approach with reconstructive analysis of journal research, studies on Pasraman and Dharmagita learning, and relevant Hindu religious education sources. The analysis was conducted through source identification, thematic classification, concept reduction, and reconstructive synthesis. The findings formulate an integrated Dharmagita learning model consisting of five reconstructed components: objectives, materials, methods, media, and evaluation. The model is further organized through the principles of rasa, meaning, and bhakti, with a learning flow of orientation, meaning-making, modeling, practice, dialogue, actualization, performance, and reflection. The novelty of this study lies in integrating these components into a character-oriented learning framework that explicitly connects Dharmagita learning activities with religious behavior. The model is expected to provide a conceptual alternative for developing Dharmagita learning that is meaningful, contextual, and sustainable in Pasraman education.
