Abstract

Introducing English as foreign language for children constitutes an improtant thing to be done
since they were in golden age period. This can be the strating point for further language
learning. Even it just limited to introducing English vocabulary, but it must be done carefully in
correct way. In doing this, educator must rely on the theory of language development in their
learning process. Those are nativism, behaviorism and cognitivsm. Beside that, educator must
internalize all the factors of language development in educating English for children. They must
consider children intelligence, social status, motivation to communicate, condusive
environtment and so forth. To do this, meaningfull learning can be created.
