Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • 1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • 2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, or Microsoft Word file format
  • 3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided
  • 4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end
  • 5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which are found in About the Journal.
  • 6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed

Author Guidelines

Correspondence can be done via email at jitipari@gmail.com, jitipari@unisri.ac.id, or through OJS. The uploaded articles must be in the form of a word file created with a minimum MS Word program 2013 or newer or using Libre Office. The writing format must follow the existing templates and can be downloaded here. Generally written using Times New Roman and Book Antiqua with the size of the letters as exemplified in the template. The paper format used is A4 and written in 2 columns except for the title and abstract page. Jitipari receives articles in the form of research articles or reviews.

TITLE

Written briefly and clearly so that it can represent everything written in the article. Written using the Book Antiqua 14pt letter with a maximum amount of 20 words. The title is written in Indonesian and also English

AUTHORS NAME

Write down all the names of the author that exists and also affiliates. Also include an email address and mobile number (WhatsApp) from the correspondent author who can be contacted by the editor

ABSTRACT

The abstract is written briefly and consists of background, objectives, methods, research results, and conclusions in sentence form. The abstract is written in Indonesian and English. Keywords also need to be written with a maximum of 6 syllables.

INTRODUCTION

In the introduction the background of the research conducted. Research that has been conducted by other related researchers needs to be conveyed so that all of them support the novelty of the research conducted or answer the question of why the research needs to be done. It is necessary to make a statement that the research conducted has never been done by anyone and also mentioned a different side of this study compared to the research that has been done.

METHODS

The methods section should include:

  • The aim, design and setting of the study
  • The characteristics of participants or description of materials
  • A clear description of all processes and methodologies employed. Generic names should generally be used. When proprietary brands are used in research, include the brand names in parentheses
  • The type of statistical analysis used, including a power calculation if appropriate
  • Studies involving human participants, data or tissue or animals must include statement on ethics approval and consent

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

The results and discussion should include the findings of the study including, if appropriate, results of statistical analysis which must be included either in the text or as tables and figures. This section should discuss the implications of the findings in context of existing research and highlight limitations of the study.

CONCLUSION

This should state clearly the main conclusions and provide an explanation of the importance and relevance of the study to the field. The conclusion has to be written in a paragraph.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT

Please acknowledge anyone who contributed to the article who does not meet the criteria for authorship including anyone who provided professional writing services or materials. Authors should obtain permission to acknowledge from all those mentioned in the Acknowledgements section. 

REFERENCES

Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended. All citations and references refer to APA 7th style.

Users of Mendeley Desktop can easily install the reference style for this journal by clicking the following link:

When preparing your manuscript, you will then be able to select this style using the Mendeley plug-ins for Microsoft Word or LibreOffice. All publications cited in the text should be presented in a list of references following the text of the manuscript. The number of references ranges from 15 to 25 positions. The manuscript should be carefully checked to ensure that the spelling of authors' names and dates are exactly the same in the text as in the reference list. 

MATHEMATICS

Use italics or variables, bold for vectors and matrices, a script for transforms, and san serif for tensors. Use superscripts and subscripts in a superior or inferior position; do not use raised and lowered fonts.

TABLES

Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. Every table must have a title, and all columns must have headings. Column headings must be arranged so that their relation to the data is clear refer to the column below. Footnotes should be indicated by superscript, lowercase letters. Each table must be cited in the text. Tables are placed next to the relevant text in the article. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text and place any table notes below the table body. Be sparing in the use of tables and ensure that the data presented in them do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the article. Please avoid using vertical rules and shading in table cells.

FIGURES

Please submit figures as an editable graphs and not as images. Cite each figure in numerical order in the text. Clearly mark orientation on the figure, if questionable. Ensure that each illustration has a caption. Supply captions separately, not attached to the figure. A caption should comprise a brief title (not on the figure itself) and a description of the illustration. Keep text in the illustrations themselves to a minimum but explain all symbols and abbreviations used. Indicate latitude and longitude on maps. Color figures, foldouts, pocket maps, etc., can be accommodated, but the costs of color for publishing these special features must be borne by the author.

COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL

It is the authors responsibility to obtain any necessary permission to reproduce figures or tables from copyrighted sources. This includes any figures redrawn but basically unaltered or with only slight modifications. If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article.

SUBMISSION DECLARATION AND VERIFICATION

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis or as an electronic preprint), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors approve that the manuscript will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, including electronically without the written consent of the copyright holder

Guideline for Online Submission

The Author should first register as Author and is offered as Reviewer through the following address: http://ejurnal.unisri.ac.id/index.php/jtpr/user/register The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star-marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, the Author clicks on the “Register” button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the author is brought to an online author submission interface where the author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start, a New Submission section, click on ’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission processes”. The following are five steps in the online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: The author must check-mark on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste the cover letter to “Comments for the Editor”.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded. 
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed the Statement of Originality Form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to  JITIPARI (Jurnal Ilmiah Teknologi dan Industri Pangan UNISRI), click Finish Submission button after the documents are true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 
After this submission, the authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of the manuscript review and editorial process.   2. The research is original and has not been published previously – Please see “Statement of Originality”
  3. Manuscript is prepared in accordance with author guidelines and template
  4. The text is written in good English or Bahasa Indonesia
  5. Manuscript text is divided into numbered sections; line and page numbers are added and text is double spaced
  6. An ethical statement is required for experiments involving humans or animals
  7. Conflict of interest statement is included at the end of the manuscript
  8. The number of figures and tables combined does not exceed a total of 6; additional tables and figures can be submitted as supplementary material
  9. All relevant and update references should be provided in the Reference list
  10. Cover letter is prepared, introducing your article and explaining the novelty of the research
